Video is the Future of Web Media

It’s almost silly to say it as it is already so obvious.

However, that is exactly what this article on Forbes declares. Video is the Future of Media.

Really though, hasn’t it always been the future? Remember when you were younger. Didn’t you think about those that advertised on television as the people with the broadest reach and most impact?

Today, however, video is so much more accessible, but here is the kick.

Almost NO ONE is taking advantage of HYPER-LOCAL video.

What is hyper local? Well, I am here in Dallas, so let me use Dallas as an example. Dallas would be considered local. The suburb I am in, Frisco, would be considered Hyper-Local.

Dallas has it’s own television network. Frisco does not. In fact, Frisco has nothing but newspapers and blogs. Get the point?

Let me say it again..
ALMOST NO ONE IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE LOCAL VIDEO VACCUM

There are no hyper-local video stations, news outlets, shows… nothing. And today, it has never been easier to create and distribute video content online.
