Cornerstone
Cornerstone helps people who are in financial need. They have a fund-raising banquet coming up and at first they thought they just wanted a higher quality “info-video” than the one they had made the previous year. I asked them what message they wanted to send and they said they wanted to communicate the long-lasting “legacy” type impact their ministry has.
However, I had other things in mind. You see, I know how powerful video is. I knew that if we could tell a story that TOUCHED THE HEARTS of the people at the banquet, they would be much more eager to get out their wallets.
So, I suggested we tell a story of a mother and daughter who fell on hard times. Then, they come to Cornerstone for help. Cornerstone helps them get back on their feet and the daughter makes it to college and eventually graduates and is able to get her own job.
The final scene is a twist as the mother pins a “Thank You” note on the fridge from Cornerstone thanking her for giving back to the ministry now that she is on her feet again.
Since then I have talked to multiple people who were at that banquet and everyone has said “There wasn’t a dry eye in the house” when the video played.
That is the power of story.
Kid Realtors of DFW
The Tomlin Team are a team of Realtors in Frisco. I wanted to do something different for them that would entertain and communicate the vastness of their experience.
So, I decided to do a “kid interview” style video where each member of the team is interviewed as a “kid realtor” and at the end, they all morph into their adult alternate.
This video has been so popular for the Team that they are wanting to shoot a Kid Realtors Two and they have been running a Facebook campaign on the video for over a year.
Jimmy Lee Loves Frisco
We wanted to do a video to launch the site Do You Love Frisco?
What better way than to tell a story? So, we told the story of Jimmy Lee. If you don’t know who Jimmy Lee is, DEFINITELY watch the video.
However, the point is…. Within 3 days this video brought the Do You Love Frisco? Facebook page almost 2,000 ORGANIC FOLLOWERS. IN THREE DAYS. It was incredible.
Additionally, the video was picked up and licensed by Upworthy which promoted it out to their millions of followers.
